Making some of the Last Memories in Foreign Land

We rented our own personal boat today, and it promised to be a magnificent day ahead. Driving the boat ourselves added an extra layer of excitement, especially knowing we had also brought along snorkeling gear. There's something truly special about navigating the waters on your own terms.

We had booked the boat from our hotel, which also provided convenient pickup and drop-off services. Our rental was for four hours, and by 2:30, we were already at the boat, eager to set sail. The thrill of steering the boat was incomparable. As we ventured out, the vibrant hues of Red Beach greeted us, its crimson stones painting a surreal landscape. It was truly a sight to behold.

From there, we made our way to White Beach, where the pristine waters merged seamlessly with the sandy shores. There were no crowds, just us and the vast expanse of the sea. Snorkeling here was an absolute delight, as we were greeted by a multitude of colorful fish darting around the underwater wonderland. It felt like stepping into a secret realm, where the mysteries of the aquatic world unfolded before our eyes.

Every moment spent exploring the depths reaffirmed the magic of the ocean and its inhabitants. It's moments like these that remind us of the beauty and wonder that surrounds us, waiting to be discovered. Our day on the boat was not just an adventure; it was a journey of awe and appreciation for the natural wonders of our planet.

After snorkeling, we stumbled upon the breathtaking Aspronisi Island in Iceland. Feeling famished, we unpacked the variety of snacks we had brought along for our feast, along with some cold drinks and beer. We halted our boat amidst the sea and savored the moment, accompanied by music playing in the background, including some lively Indian tunes. It was an experience beyond comparison.

Later, we discovered the charm of Palia Kameni, a small but remarkable island, which made us realize why Santorini is renowned for its beauty. Reluctantly, we had to steer our boat back towards Nea Kameni volcano in Iceland, but not before indulging in some more snorkeling and soaking in the breathtaking views. It was truly a fantastic experience in itself.

As we approached the deadline to return our boat by 8 p.m., we reluctantly bid adieu to the mesmerizing sights, knowing that Santorini had left an indelible mark on us. Despite the reluctance to leave, we made the most of the remaining 30 minutes, savoring every last bit of the scenery. Santorini, this place is beyond comparison.

Our incredible day concluded with a delightful dinner on the beach, reminiscing about the unforgettable experiences we had encountered.

We spent the day leisurely at our resort, taking a long walk along Kamari Beach and indulging in various local restaurants, savoring every dish we could find. From swimming to engaging in water activities, we made the most of our time, immersing ourselves in the beauty of Santorini's coastal delights. The Greek cuisine we sampled left us speechless, each dish a delightful revelation of flavors and textures.
